Honestly - my 2 yo loves this book, so there’s that. But my husband and I hate it. It’s probably the worst children’s book we have. The rhymes are pretty bad, the bunny uses the phrase “what a din”, which, what?! Are we in the 1950s? I can’t. And it kind of makes NO sense. A boy falls down when running a race and then somehow, he wins? Wouldn’t it be a better lesson if he lost gracefully? And THEN I find out that there’s literally at least 50 different versions of this book for all the states and even different cities? But all the words are literally the same, just the places are changed. Zero creativity. The author found a perfect cash grab.
