The title says it all, these performed better than the more expensive boot. I bought the red color and it is true to color. What you see in the picture is the actual color of the boot (some products are slight variations on amazon, that's why I always point out if it's true to color in my reviews).It is extremely comfortable unlike the more expensive shoes which felt like there wasn't a cushion to be found, I was walking on straight hardwood. Granted, the hardwood LOOKED nice, but it was not comfortable at all. These boots have a lot of cushion and the leather is soft and wraps around your foot; Again, unlike the more expensive shoe which had a tough (but quality) leather that did not flow with my leg (very important since these come up past the ankle). The more expensive shoe had more resistance when walking so they were really not comfortable at all. These are effortless to wear and I get alot of compliments, especially the fact that men can wear (acceptably wide and not too tall) heels. It's a new concept I am rocking and it is working for my style. I am already 6ft so these make me appear 6'2ft. Highly recommend and highly encourage to my fellow heteromales to give it a go, it's okay.
